Theres A New Song In My Mouth

Theres A New Song In My Mouth

And he that sat on the throne, said: Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me: Write, for these words are most faithful and true. Revelation 21:5

The psalmist David said, "I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God."

We don't know the title of the new song that David was singing, but we we do know that it was song of praise unto God. We do know that it wasn't the world's song. We do know that it wasn't the song of a man without hope and without God. And notice, God did not put a new song in David's heart; God put a new song in David's mouth! David sang of praise ti God for His salvation and deliverance wasn't something that God intended for him to keep hidden away in his heart, to keep all to himself. This new song was in David's moth. He was to be singing God's praises aloud, for all the world to hear. David could be counted among those who, like the apostle Paul, were and are "not ashamed of the gospel of Christ" (Romans 1:16), and he gladly, openly sang praises to God at every opportunity. David knew that his song of praise would influence a great number of people to turn to God: "Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD." How many people have seen the change God has made in you and for you, from the horrible pit and miry clay to being firmly set upon a rock?

How many will come to fear God and trust in Him because of the "new song" God has put in your mouth?
